Germs and bacteria become a problem wherever the necessary water quality cannot be guaranteed and water stands unused in pipes or tanks for a long time. Typical applications for our systems are motorhomes, boats, tiny houses, as well as camping, off-grid, and onboard water systems.

Keimguard

The goodguards® Keimguard offers longevity and the highest effectiveness in water disinfection. With a water flow rate of 2 liters per minute, up to 99.9999% of E. coli are reliably neutralized. The durable UVC-LEDs achieve a lifespan of up to 10,000 hours. Thanks to its compact design, the module can be integrated in a space-saving manner close to the tap – ideally directly under the faucet in the cold water line. This prevents re-contamination.

Highly effective water disinfection in detail

The UVC-LEDs of the Keimguard inactivate microorganisms with a wavelength of 265 nm by damaging the DNA and RNA of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa. Since this wavelength is very close to the absorption maximum of nucleic acids, it is particularly effective for sterilization. This method is purely physical, uses no chemicals whatsoever, and does not alter the taste or the natural composition of the water.
